Switching from Tint Wiz: what moves, what changes
Tint Wiz lets you export your contacts, projects, proposals and invoices as CSV files. Peel reads all four. Here’s what comes over, what stays in Tint Wiz, and what Peel can’t do for you yet.

Step 1
Export four files from Tint Wiz
Each list in Tint Wiz has its own CSV export, with filters for status, type, tags and dates. Clear the filters so every record is in the file.
- Contacts: open Contacts, choose Export, and download the CSV. The file is named like
wiz_contacts_…csv. - Projects: the same from Projects (
wiz_projects_…csv). - Proposals: the same from Proposals (
wiz_proposals_…csv). - Invoices: the same from Invoices (
wiz_invoices_…csv).
Seen in a Tint Wiz account on 2026-10-11. Tint Wiz also exports services, film rolls and a work log; Peel doesn’t read those, so rebuild your prices in Peel’s price list.
Step 2
Import them in Peel
Drop the four files in Import customers, in any order. Peel knows them by their names and columns, and shows you the counts and up to 20 sample rows before it saves.
What you keep
- Every contact as a customer, with phone, email, city, ZIP and car. A second phone number may not come over. Possible duplicates are matched for you to review.
- One job per Tint Wiz project, with its car and its notes.
- Upcoming installs as follow-ups on the install date.
- Proposals and invoices as history on the job.
- Your Tint Wiz account, untouched. Peel never asks for its password.
What changes
- Proposals and invoices are history, not Peel quotes you can resend or invoices you can collect.
- Installs land on Peel’s week schedule, but customers can’t book a time themselves.
- Nothing is sent to your customers when you import.
- You can undo an import for 24 hours.

What can’t come over
Tint Wiz’s exports don’t carry these, so download anything you need to keep before you cancel.
- Photos, uploads and documents
- Signatures on approved proposals
- Message history and review requests
- Per-window measurements, rooms and the film on each window: the export has counts and totals only
- Separate lines on proposals and invoices: each exports as one line of text
- TintWizPay: cards on file, terminals and payouts stay with TintWizPay
- Lead-form designs and analytics
Before you move
What Peel doesn’t do yet
If your shop runs on one of these, keep the tool that does it for now. Peel works beside it.
Online booking
Not yetCustomers can’t book a time on their own before a quote. After approving one they pick a drop-off from the hours you set, if you turn that on, and you confirm it. You set each install’s date and bay, and see the week on Peel’s schedule.
Card payments and invoices
Not yetPeel doesn’t take cards or send invoices. A deposit goes through your own pay link, straight to you, and you mark it received.
E-signatures
Not yetCustomers approve a quote by typing their name on it. There’s no signed document.
Team logins
Not yetOne sign-in per shop. Installers and the front desk don’t get their own logins yet.
Texting from Peel
Not yet“Text the link” opens your own phone’s Messages app with the quote link. Peel doesn’t send or receive texts.
Timing
When to cancel Tint Wiz
Tint Wiz’s self-serve plan is month to month. Cancelling takes 15 days’ written notice from Settings › Subscription (seen in a Tint Wiz account on 2026-10-11). A custom order form can have other terms, so check yours.
Tint Wiz’s terms give you no more than 30 days of access to your data after the account ends (terms of service, §4.4, read 2026-10-17). Download your final exports before you cancel, not after.

The switch-day checklist
The week before
- Export the four files: contacts, projects, proposals and invoices.
- Import into Peel and check the preview: the counts, the duplicates it found and the sample rows. Then check each open job’s stage on the pipeline.
- Add your price list in Settings, then send one quote to your own email and open it on your phone.
- Check that each upcoming install came over with its date, and find it on the week schedule.
On the day
- Export fresh files and import them again. Jobs, stages, notes and install follow-ups update. Customers are matched, not overwritten, so fix a changed phone or email by hand.
- Decide where each unpaid invoice gets collected. Peel doesn’t send invoices or take cards, so finish those where they started.
- Cancel Tint Wiz in writing once your last export is saved, and keep the confirmation.
No lock-in
You can leave Peel too
In Peel, Settings › Your data has a download for your customers, your deals and your quotes (Customers CSV, Deals CSV and Quotes CSV). They open in Excel, Numbers and Google Sheets. You can also delete your shop and everything in it from Settings.
Questions from Tint Wiz shops
Can I keep Tint Wiz while I try Peel?
Yes. Exporting doesn’t change your Tint Wiz account, and Peel never asks for your Tint Wiz password. Keep Tint Wiz for anything Peel doesn’t do yet while you try Peel’s pipeline and quotes.
Will my booked installs come over?
Each install with a date in Tint Wiz comes over on that date, on the job, and shows on Peel’s week schedule. Check them on switch day.
What if I import the same files twice?
Peel matches what it already has by Tint Wiz’s own record numbers, so a second import of fresh files doesn’t make duplicates. Jobs, stages, notes and install follow-ups update. Customers are matched, not overwritten, so fix a changed phone number or email by hand.
Is anything sent to my customers when I import?
No. Importing sends no texts or emails. Your customers hear from you only when you send them a quote.
Can I undo an import?
Yes, for 24 hours. Undo removes what the import added, except records you’ve changed since. Before you save, Peel shows the counts and some sample rows.
What does Peel cost?
Your shop’s account is free today, with everything marked Available now. Peel isn’t for sale yet, so there’s no price to show.
When should I cancel Tint Wiz?
