Wheel visualizer: see new rims on a 3D car

Pick a wheel style, size and finish and see it on a 3D car you can turn around. It’s free, with no account and no credits, and runs in your browser. It works on the Tesla Cybertruck, Tesla Model Y, BMW M2, BMW M3, BMW M4, BMW M3 (F80) and BMW M5 (F90): 10 wheel styles, 18 finishes and the sizes and offsets each car takes.

In the 3D view, the Wheels panel also sets the diameter, width and offset, front and rear together or apart, how deep the face is, the lip and lug finish, and the brake caliper color. Changing the paint too? Try the car wrap visualizer.

What you can change

  • Style. 10 unbranded styles, such as Split five, Cross mesh and Y five, or the car’s stock wheels. Truck six is for the Tesla Cybertruck only.
  • Size and offset. The diameters each car takes, widths in half-inch steps and an offset (ET) slider, the same front and rear or staggered. The tires change with the wheels.
  • Face. From flat to deepest concave, as far as the width and offset leave room for.
  • Finish. 18 finishes, including gloss and satin black, bronze, gold, brushed metal and chrome, or any wrap color or film. The Two-piece mesh and Classic three-piece styles have a lip finish of their own.
  • Hardware and brakes. 8 colors for the lug nuts or bolts, and the brake caliper color.
  • Stance. Lower the car, add spacers and camber, and see how far each wheel sits inside or past the fender.

The page opens on the BMW M4 with Split five wheels in bronze. Tap a button above to change the car, the style or the finish.

Sizes each car takes

Each car’s stock wheels and the sizes the visualizer offers for it, as diameter x width and offset (ET, mm).

Some styles don’t come in every diameter; the Wheels panel lists the sizes of the style you pick.

Fitment: will it poke?

A wider wheel or a lower offset moves the wheel out toward the fender; a higher offset moves it in toward the suspension. In the 3D view, the Wheels and Stance panels show how many millimeters each axle’s wheels sit inside or past the fender, and how far they moved from stock.

To work out the change for any wheel, use the wheel offset calculator: it compares your wheel with a new width, offset and spacer and gives the poke, the inner clearance and the backspacing. The 3D view is an illustration. Ask the wheel seller or your installer to confirm fitment and tire size for your exact car before you buy.

Plain wheel styles, not brands

The wheel styles here are generic designs that share the looks of common aftermarket wheels: split spokes, mesh, multi-piece and so on. They carry plain names only, with no wheel maker names or logos. Pick the look and the size you like, then ask a wheel shop for wheels like it that fit your car.

New wheels are 3D only for now. The photo mode changes the paint color of a photo of your own car and leaves its wheels as they are. To put paint, wheels and tint together on one car, open the 3D app.

Questions

Is the wheel visualizer free?

Yes. There’s no account, no credits and no limit on how many wheels you try. It runs in your browser.

Which cars can I see new rims on?

The Tesla Cybertruck, Tesla Model Y, BMW M2, BMW M3, BMW M4, BMW M3 (F80) and BMW M5 (F90). The golf cart and the pontoon boat keep their own wheels, and other cars aren’t in 3D yet.

Can I change the wheel size and offset?

Yes. Pick a style, then the diameter, the width in half-inch steps and the offset (ET) for both axles together or front and rear apart. Each car offers its own sizes, from 18 to 24 inches. Stance lowers the car and adds spacers and camber, and shows how many millimeters each wheel sits inside or past the fender.

Can I see rims on a photo of my own car?

Not yet. New wheels are on the 3D cars only. The photo mode changes the paint color of your own car and leaves the wheels as they are in the photo.

Does it show the tire size?

Yes. Once you pick a wheel style, the Wheels panel shows the tire size front and rear, for example 275/35R19 front and 285/30R20 rear at the BMW M4’s stock sizes. On a new wheel size it picks a tire that keeps close to the stock tire’s height, says how much taller or shorter it is than stock, and warns when that’s more than 3%. You can’t type in a tire size of your own yet.

Are these real wheel brands?

No. The styles are plain, unbranded designs in common aftermarket looks, with no maker names or logos. Use them to choose a look, a size and a finish, then ask a wheel shop for wheels like it that fit your car.
