Car wrap software: visualizers, design tools and prices
Car wrap software does one of three jobs: it shows a wrap color on a car before anyone cuts film, it lays out printed wrap graphics, or it helps a shop sell and quote wraps. We read 15 makers’ own pages on November 2, 2026. To see a color for free, WrapColor (which we make) shows 1,338 real films on 3D cars or on a photo of your car with no account, Avery Dennison’s visualizer shows its own colors, WrapConfigurator has a free tier, and Specced gives 2 free photo renders a day. Paid 3D visualizers run from $7.99 a month (Car Wrapper 3D) to $250 a month (Zeno), or 148 € once (3D Changer). Design software costs $59 to $995 once (VinylMaster) or $8.95 to $91.99 a month (VinylMaster, Flexi).

Which kind do you need?
To pick a color, you want a visualizer: it puts a real film on a 3D car or on a photo, so you can compare gloss, satin and matte before you pay for a wrap. Car owners and shops both use these.
To make a printed wrap (a logo, a livery, a fleet van), a designer uses design software and a vehicle template, then prints and cuts the panels. A visualizer can’t do this.
To run a wrap shop, quotes, jobs and customers live in shop software. Some of it can also put a visualizer on the shop’s website, so customers pick a color before they ask for a quote.
See a wrap color on a 3D car
A 3D visualizer lets you turn the car, change the light and try film after film. Check two things: whether it names real films (so a shop can order the one you picked) and whether it has your car. WrapColor has 9 vehicles in 3D: the Tesla Cybertruck, Tesla Model Y, BMW M2, BMW M3, BMW M4, BMW M3 (F80), BMW M5 (F90), pontoon boat and 4-seat golf cart. Others cover more cars: WrapConfigurator lists 270+ car models in the browser, and the installed apps list more still (3D Changer 400+ vehicles, Zeno 1,500+), but they need a strong computer.

See a wrap on a photo of your car
For any car without a 3D model, use a photo. There are two ways to do it. WrapColor finds the paint in your photo and shows the film on it, in your browser; if it misses a part, you fix it with a tap. AI tools redraw the whole picture instead, which takes longer and usually costs credits after a few free tries. Some of them name real films (Specced, Wrap Visualizer); others take a color in words, so there is no film to order from the result.

Design the printed wrap
Printed wraps start in design software that prints and cuts, laid over a template drawn to the vehicle’s real size. Flexi and VinylMaster sell the software, and Pro Vehicle Outlines sells templates for over 19,500 vehicles. Wraptor, which makes shop software, also has a design suite that runs in the browser, WrapStudio (not the same as WrapStudio.AI).
| Tool and films | Price | Free to try |

| Flexi (SAi)Flexi Design: Windows and macOSDesign, print and cut software, not a color preview | Flexi Design $46.99 a month, Flexi Complete $91.99 a month (or $420.99 and $865.99 a year) | 7-day trial; it turns into a subscription unless you cancel |
| VinylMasterWindowsDesign and cut software, not a color preview | $59 (Cut) to $995 (Xpt, with RIP) once, or $8.95 to $49.75 a month | Free demo download |

For shops: a visualizer on your website
A visualizer on a shop’s own website lets customers pick a color before they ask for a price, and the request arrives with the build attached. Peel, which we make, gives a shop its own WrapColor visualizer with a free account and no card. Each request goes only to that shop, by email and on its dashboard.
- Urable sells its 3D Visualizer, which lists 15,000+ vehicles, as a $150 a month add-on to a Urable plan ($70 to $183 a month). Urable
- Specced charges shops 49 € a month for a white-label page, with 14 days free and a card up front. Specced
- Wraptor makes shop software ($0 with one active job and one active quote, then $99 to $299 a month) and WrapStudio, a browser design suite that also makes mockups on the customer’s own vehicle photo (not the same as WrapStudio.AI). Wraptor
What WrapColor doesn’t do
- It doesn’t design printed graphics or export files to print and cut. Use design software for that.
- It has 9 vehicles in 3D, far fewer than WrapConfigurator or the installed apps. For other cars, use a photo.
- Colors on a screen are close, not exact. Look at a real sample of the film before you buy.
How we checked
On November 2, 2026 we read each maker’s own pricing or product page (the App Store listing for Car Wrapper 3D) and wrote down the prices and counts as printed. Prices change and sales come and go: 3D Changer was running a November sale, and Wrap Generator AI’s home and pricing pages showed different Starter prices. Check the maker’s page before you buy. We left out tools whose pages didn’t load or didn’t show a price or color count.

Questions
Is there free car wrap software?
Yes, for picking a color. WrapColor shows 1,338 real films on 9 vehicles in 3D or on a photo of your car, free and with no account. Avery Dennison’s visualizer shows its own films, WrapConfigurator has a free tier with watermarked downloads, and Specced gives 2 free photo renders a day. On the pages we read, no wrap design software had a free plan: VinylMaster has a free demo and starts at $59 once, and Flexi has a 7-day trial.
What software do wrap shops use to design wraps?
Design software that prints and cuts, such as Flexi (Flexi Design $46.99 a month) or VinylMaster ($59 to $995 once), with vehicle templates such as Pro Vehicle Outlines ($449 for 12 months). Prices are from each maker’s page on November 2, 2026.
Can I see a wrap on a photo of my own car?
Yes. WrapColor’s photo mode finds the paint in your photo and shows the film you pick on it, free and in your browser; the photo is not uploaded. AI tools such as Specced and Wrap Visualizer redraw your photo with the film, with a few free renders and credits or a plan after that.
Can a shop put a wrap visualizer on its website?
Yes. Peel gives a shop a free WrapColor visualizer for its website, and requests go only to that shop. On their own pages, Urable charges $150 a month for its 3D Visualizer add-on and Specced 49 € a month for shops.
Which car wrap visualizer has the most cars?
Of the tools we checked, Urable’s 3D Visualizer lists the most, 15,000+ vehicles, but only shops can buy it ($150 a month on top of a Urable plan). Of the ones you can get yourself, Zeno by xix3D lists 1,500+ vehicles and 3D Changer 400+; both are installed apps that need a strong computer. In the browser, WrapConfigurator lists 270+ car models and WrapColor 9, and a photo covers any other car.
Are the colors in a wrap visualizer exact?
No. A screen shows a film close to its real color, but light, the panel’s shape and your screen change how it looks. Look at a real sample of the film before you order a wrap.
